The Starwood Preferred Guest Master Card is a hotel rewards credit card providing cardholders exclusive benefits and features. Intending applicants must reside in Canada to qualify. There is no annual fee. Purchases, balance transfers and cash advances do not participate in an introductory offer but these transactions are subject to fixed interest rates, a huge plus. On the card rewards program, cardholders earn a Starpoint on every $2 spent on eligible purchases. First timers are awarded 5,000 Starpoints as soon as they make a first purchase. Cardholders who spend more than $10,000 within the year will receive an additional 5,000 Starpoints to complement those already received. With enough Starpoints, cardholders can redeem cash, merchandise and travel rewards. Cardholders receive extra benefits like online account access, internet bill pay, zero fraud liability, round the clock customer service and more.
