What Are Momentum Visa Infinite Advantages

This card has plenty of advantages that many alternatives lack.

Interest-free grace period

This credit card has an interest-free grace period of 21 days. That’s several months shorter than some cards offer, but it’s still something. That makes the card excellent for a significant purchase, as long as you don’t pay for it in monthly installments.

Cashback rewards

This card offers cash back on almost all purchases; you can get back up to 10% of your money. The cashback includes groceries, gas, subscriptions, etc.

Saving money

If you plan on renting a car any time soon, you can save up to 25% with this card. This option is available only at AVIS and Budget Car Rental locations in Canada and the US.

Online banking

You can use this card on your phone. This option includes paying for groceries and other purchases with your phone; you will save time with digital banking at checkouts. You can also pay your bills with this digital card; you won’t have to wait in line to pay your bills.

Mobile device insurance

Purchasing a phone or tablet with this card carries an insurance benefit. Using your card to buy a new device will automatically protect your device. Scotiabank provides insurance for any mobile device you buy with this card.

Trip insurance

If you use this card to make a reservation for your next trip, you can get up to 75% of the money you have spent back if you cancel your trip. You won’t have to pay extra costs for the trip cancellation.

Travel insurance

Paying for your holiday and other travel reservations with this card will provide you with travel medical insurance. You won’t have to pay for an emergency visit to the doctor. However, you must be younger than 65.

Extended warranty

Buying something valuable might be risky, but making a purchase with a Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card will extend your warranty1, and be insured against theft. You can extend the manufacturer’s warranty for up to one year, depending on the product.

Flight insurance

Scotiabank will cover you if your plane has been delayed or you lost your luggage. In case of a delayed flight, you are eligible for up to 75% cashback on your plane ticket. On the other hand, with lost luggage, you can get up to $500 back for your lost stuff.

Luxurious hotel experience

If you are a Scotia Momentum Infinite Visa card user, you can be a guest at one of 900 luxurious Visa Hotel Collections worldwide. Moreover, you can get better Wi-Fi and breakfast, a late checkout, and room upgrades.

Wine & Dine

With this card, you can experience something that Visa Infinite2 users cannot. You can cook with international chefs and enjoy some of the best wines in the world. You can attend these events across Canada.

Are There Any Disadvantages?

Here are the most notable drawbacks to consider before applying.

Minimum income requirements. To become eligible for this card, you must have an annual income of at least $60,000 (individuals) or $100,000 (families). Not everyone can become a user of this card and enjoy its benefits.

Credit score requirements. 660 credit score is recommended to qualify for this card. Applying if you have a lower score would only hurt your credit. If you have no credit history, search for alternative cards because you won’t get approval for this one.

Hefty annual fee. Some credit cards don’t require an annual fee, but that is not the case with Visa Infinite cards. To own this card, you will have to pay $120 annually. See No Annual Fee Cards.

Expensive supplementary card. Besides paying a hefty annual fee for the primary card, every supplementary card will cost you $50 per year. You will also have to pay this fee if you lose your card.

What Makes Momentum Visa Infinite Card Different

The Scotia Momentum Infinite Visa card has many unique features. With this card, you can provide insurance for yourself and your family if you are going on a trip. There is no need to pay extra to get high-quality insurance.

Another thing that makes this card unique is its awards for its cashback feature. Namely, this card has received a minimum of four prestige awards for the percentage of the cashback it offers.

We don’t often see a minimum income requirement for a Visa card. However, that is the case with Visa Infinite cards. This particular card requires a minimum of $60,000 annual income. Additionally, the credit limit is $5,000.

The experiences you can gain with this card make it unique. The previously mentioned dining and hotel experiences make this card one of a kind. Those might be the best features this card has to offer.

Bottom Line

The Scotia Momentum Infinite Visa card is a credit card you can use to build your credit score. However, it’s not for you if you don’t have a credit history since you need at least a 660 credit score to apply. You can apply for this card if you are a Canadian citizen. After you apply, the bank will check your background and notify you about whether or not you can use the card. This card provides many benefits, including mobile, trip, travel, and flight insurance. You can also enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences in Visa’s luxurious hotels worldwide or enjoy preparing food with professional chefs.

Great VISA card for all those who demand better rewards, more security features, and cash back travel rewards

For a long time I’ve been looking for a credit card that won’t just claim it offers rewards, but actually give those rewards. I’ve finally found a card that can do that for me. Aside from premium benefits and rewards, the card gets you a minimum $5000 credit, which is more than enough for what I had in mind. Sure, there are some downsides like international transaction fees that I didn’t count on at all, but that’s a small con when compared to all the pros.
